Safe Installation Guide

Step 1: Unboxing

Remove the safe from packaging carefully — safes are heavy. Ask for assistance if needed. Check that the box contains: the safe, emergency override keys (×2), anchor bolt kit, and instruction card. Locate the battery compartment (inside the door) and insert 4 × AA batteries.

Step 2: Setting Your PIN

1. Open the safe using the emergency key.
2. Press the [*] (star/reset) button inside the door — you will hear a beep.
3. Enter your desired 4–8 digit PIN.
4. Press [#] to confirm.
5. Re-enter the same PIN and press [#] again to save.
6. Close the door and test your new PIN from the outside.

Important: Choose a PIN you can remember but avoid obvious combinations (birthdays, 1234, 0000). Never write the PIN on the safe or nearby.

Step 3: Choosing a Location

Best locations: Inside a wardrobe or cupboard (concealment adds security), bedroom or home office, anchored to a solid wall or floor.

Avoid: Garages or exterior rooms, areas with high humidity or temperature extremes, visible from main entrance or living areas.

Step 4: Anchoring Your Safe (Strongly Recommended)

An unanchored safe can be removed from your home. Anchoring takes under 30 minutes and dramatically increases security.

Floor anchoring:
1. Position the safe in your chosen location.
2. Mark the anchor hole positions on the floor through the pre-drilled holes in the safe base.
3. Move the safe aside and drill holes at the marked positions.
4. Insert wall plugs appropriate for your floor type (concrete, wood, tile).
5. Position the safe back and secure using the anchor bolts provided.

Wall anchoring:
1. Locate the pre-drilled holes at the back of the safe.
2. Mark hole positions on the wall.
3. Drill and insert wall plugs.
4. Secure the safe to the wall using the anchor bolts provided.

Step 5: Testing

Before placing any valuables inside: Test your PIN 3 times from the outside. Test the tamper alarm by entering an incorrect PIN 3 times — the alarm should sound. Test the emergency key. Store the emergency keys in a separate, secure location away from the safe.
